Chad LaBonte
Coach LaBonte is a graduate of Westfield
State University with a degree in Movement
Science and Masters in Education. He has
been a teacher for 15 years and is currently
a Physical Education Teacher at West
Springfield High School. He has been
coaching football for 16 years. He began
coaching as an Offensive Line Coach at
Westfield State College. After 8 years as an
assistant became the Head Football Coach at
West Springfield. He is entering his 7th
year and has coached West Springfield High
School to the 2009 Division I Super Bowl
Championship.
Vitaly Gingeruha
Coach Gingeruha is an assistant coach at
West Springfield High School. He is entering
his 4th year. He responsibilities include
receivers, defensive backs, and kick
returners. Coach Gingeruha played football
at Western New England College.
Eric Scammons
Coach Scammons is the head football coach
for his alma mater, South Hadley High
School. Coach Scammons has spent the last 11
years as the offensive coordinator and
defensive backs coach for the 2005 Division
1A and 2010 Division 2 Super Bowl champion
Tigers. Coach Scammons has coached football
at South Hadley since 1996. He received is
B.A. from Boston College and M.Ed. from
Springfield College and is currently a
teacher at Hampshire Regional High School in
Westhampton, MA.
Keith Thomson
Coach Thomson is the Head Football Coach of
Lee High School for past six seasons. Coach
Thomson is a 2000 graduate of American
International College, where he played for
Coach Art Wilkins. Coach Thomson was a
member of 1999 Eastern Football Conference
Champions as middle linebacker for AIC.
Coach Thomson is a graduate of Lee High
School, where he played for Head Coach the
late Michael Salinetti.
Chris Abderhalden
Coach Abderhalden is the offensive and
defensive line coach at Lee High School.
Coach Abderhalden has eight years of
coaching experience.
Henry LaFortune
Coach LaFortune coached at South Hadley High
school in 2002. He returned as an assistant
coach from 2006 until 2010 where he was the
head J.V. and Freshman coach. He played for
Holyoke High School. He also played during
his enlistment in the United States Marine
Corps.
Benjamin Sabbs
Coach Sabbs played wide receiver and
defensive back at South Hadley High School.
Coach Sabbs was a team captain and All
Western Mass Offensive selection. Coach
Sabbs went on to play wide receiver at
Western New England College. In addition to
being an Assistant Football Coach at South
Hadley High School also Head Boys Indoor
Track & Field Coach and Assistant Varsity
Baseball Coach South Hadley High School.
Tim Dominick
Coach Dominick is in his 5th season as a
Line Coach with the South Hadley High School
Tigers and has served as the Special Teams
Coordinator for the previous 3 seasons. He
is a graduate of American International
College and the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst and currently teaches 5th Grade.
Scott Taylor
Scott Taylor is in his 4th season as the
Defensive Coordinator at South Hadley High
School. Coach Taylor coordinated the defense
since 2007 and coached South Hadley toe
Super Bowl Finals in 2008 and Super Bowl
Champions in 2010. Prior to coaching at
South Hadley Coach Taylor coached at Amherst
High School where he coached the Wide
Receivers, Running Backs, Defensive Backs
and Linebackers. Coach Taylor coached at
Dean Tech as the Wide Receivers, Running
Backs and Linebackers coach. In 2005-2006
For the past 6 years Coach Taylor has been
an assistant at Western New England College
Football where he coached the defensive line
and strong safeties.
